On the Move in the Community
      Solutions for Québec

        Montreal | September 23-24, 2015

Inspired by the resounding success of the first edition in 2010, Vélo Québec is pleased to invite you to attend our second active transportation conference.

On the Move in the Community – Solutions for Quebec will welcome specialists in pedestrian- and cyclist-friendly planning and design as well as representatives of organizations and institutions lobbying for human-scale cities and neighbourhoods. This is an exceptional opportunity to bring together pioneers and trailblazers, as well as those who are new to this fast-growing sector and are looking for a nudge in the right direction.

Why attend?

Five years have come and gone since the first conference in 2010. Quebec has made enormous strides on the active transportation front. It is time to take stock of what we have done thus far and lay the groundwork for further progress in the coming years.

This second conference will give development professionals, public health and school officials, municipal and community representatives, and academics the chance to share their approaches and experiences.

Together, they will be facing the sizeable challenge of finding ways to reduce our dependency on the automobile and making active transportation a more widespread practice. The outcomes of their discussions will help forge policies and practices that will revolutionize the province’s transportation landscape.
