The Summer Challenges are an exciting series of untimed excursions, where you get to decide on the distance, the pace and the number of climbs and descents. Challenge yourself as much as you want, depending on your level of fitness or energy - or your mood on the day of the event!

How to get to the Metropolitan Challenge
ÉCOLE SECONDAIRE DU HARFANG | 140 Saisons Street, Sainte-Anne-des-Plaines, Québec J0N 1H0

FROM MONTRÉAL: Take Highway 19 north (extension of Papineau Avenue). 19 becomes 335 North. Follow the signs to Sainte-Anne-des-Plaines. 
 
FROM QUÉBEC CITY: Take Highway 40 west to Exit 96. Take 640 West to Exit 28 to 335 North. Follow the signs to Sainte-Anne-des-Plaines. 

In Sainte-Anne-des-Plaines, the 335 becomes Sainte-Anne Boulevard. Turn left on Therrien Street. A perimeter near the departure site is provided for parking, which will be free. Attendants will direct you.

Registration fees include

  • Participant’s booklet and bracelet providing access to services (mail-out)
  • Final update of cards and GPX data via email
  • Route signage, on-road professional support (mechanical and first aid) and relief vehicles
  • At the lunchtime rest area: box lunch, water, toilets, first aid services, mechanical assistance
  • Souvenir gift
  • At the finish site: partners’ activities, bistro and musical entertainment

Schedule

Itineraries: 50, 75, 100, 125 or 150 km
Departure: Start between 7 a.m. and 10 a.m. and bike at your own pace
Lunch: rest area or finish site?
You can make this choice when you register, up to 5 days before the Challenge. After this deadline, your lunch will be provided at the rest area that accommodates cyclists from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

On the 50-km route, the box lunch will distributed only at the finish site.
