Rendez-vous Cycle Chic to mark the 40th anniversary of the founding of Le Monde à bicyclette!
- A Go Bike Montréal Festival event -
Montreal, Tuesday, May 19, 2015 – Vélo Urbain magazine and Vélo Québec invite you to a Rendez-vous Cycle Chic event to celebrate the 40th anniversary of the founding of Le Monde à bicyclette (MAB). Held in conjunction with the Go Bike Montréal Festival, 5@7 Cycle Chic will be an opportunity to honour MAB’s many achievements over the years.
Le Monde à bicyclette was a lobby group whose attention-getting efforts were instrumental in sparking Montrealers’ now-thriving interest in city cycling. The informal cocktail reception on May 26 will also mark the kick-off of a crowdfunding campaign by Encore du Monde à bicyclette (EMAB) to set up a project to safeguard MAB’s legacy through a variety of initiatives, including an exhibition.
Don’t miss this Rendez-vous Cycle Chic event!
Tuesday, May 26, 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.

Montreal Cycle Chic is a photo blog highlighting Montreal cyclists in their daily travels. Snapped on the spot by photographers running the blog, the subjects of these pictures provide a glimpse into their cycling-friendly lifestyle and illustrate why travelling by bike is an experience they enjoy. Initiated by Vélo Québec in 2011, Montreal Cycle Chic draws its inspiration from the international Cycle Chic™ movement. For more information on this event, go to www.montrealcyclechic.com
