Checklist to prepare your luggage

To take full advantage of your Petite Aventure or Grand Tour,  two unforgettable events for exploring Québec by bike, here is a reminder to help you with your luggage preparation.

Reminder: We accept only one piece of luggage per person and the baggage weight limit is 22 kg. It is each traveller’s responsibility to ensure that his/her baggage is waterproof. Also, we remind you of the importance of putting all your personal effects in plastic bags before packing them in your travel bag.

Camping equipment

(only Under the Stars participants )

  • Tent (except for the all-inclusive tent service))
  • Sleeping bag and pillow
  • Insulating mattress
  • Flashlight
  • Clothespins

Bicycle material

  • A well-tuned bicycle
  • Saddlebag for your bike (on the handlebars or the rear of the bike)
    Avoid backpacks
  • A padlock
  • Water bottles
  • Mini mechanical kit (pump, inner tubes, puncture repair kit, tire
    wrench, small wrench, Allen key set)
  • Cycling helmet

 

Clothing

  • Cycling shorts and/or bermuda shorts, skirt
  • Cycling jersey and/or t-shirts, shirts
  • Warm clothes: sweater, polar top, pants, windbreaker
  • Rain gear (top and bottom, shoes protectors optional)
  • Socks and underwear
  • Two pairs of comfortable shoes (if you don’t use cycling shoes,
    choose a pair with the most rigid soles possible)
  • Cap or hat
  • Bathing suit and cap
  • Thongs (appreciated at shower time)

Miscellaneous Material

  • Toiletry kit* and towel
  • Laundry detergent*
  • COVID-19 kit (hydroalcoholic solution, disinfectant wipes, protective mask, gloves)
  • Camera
  • Sun block and lip protection with sunscreen
  • Sunglasses
  • Small first aid kit and personal medication

*If possible, prefer biodegradable toiletries and detergent

Optional: A map holder on the handlebars, cycling gloves, elastic fasteners (if you have a back rack), mudguards (appreciated in case of rain), rear-view mirror, odometer.

Grand Tour

A veritable bicycle-tourism institution in Québec, brings together an impressive pack of 1,500 cyclists, who cover approximately 600 km at their own pace over seven days.
