Maintaining and repairing your gravel bike

Riding on unpaved surfaces puts our bikes to the test. Dust, mud, stones, rain and vibrations are all part of the game. Regular maintenance helps keep your bike reliable and performing at its best.

A few quick, simple steps are all it takes to avoid mechanical problems.

  • Make a quick mechanical check before departure, on every outing.
  • Remove mud and dust accumulated after each outing, especially around the transmission.
  • Tighten screws regularly (derailleur, bottle cage, luggage rack, etc.), as vibrations are significant on unsealed roads.
  • Inspect the condition of wheels and tires (presence of dent on rim, absence of debris, spoke tension, check pressure and adjust if necessary)
