Bicycles in the spotlight in the metropolis
Cycling through the streets of the metropolitan region is an enjoyable way for participants to discover the area and share a moment of togetherness.
Every year, during the Festival Go vélo, thousands of cyclists celebrate the arrival of fine weather by taking part in the Défi métropolitain, the Tour la Nuit or the Tour de l’Île de Montréal. These events reflect the growing importance of active transportation in the city's daily commute and identity. They also enhance the city's tourism calendar.
We're proud that the Quebec government is reaffirming its commitment to healthy lifestyle habits and more sustainable mobility by supporting this sporting event. Congratulations to all those who will be getting on their bikes to take part, and to the organizing team for all their hard work!
