Volunteering in mountain biking - trails that last thanks to you!

Québec is an exceptional land for outdoor activities. Mountains, valleys, boreal forests, national parks and protected areas offer us diverse playgrounds. To keep these environments accessible, safe and sustainable, we need to take care of them. And that's where volunteering becomes a real pillar of the outdoor ecosystem.

Through trail chores, local clubs, centers and communities give back to nature while enhancing the user experience. Whether it's repairing a rain-damaged trail, building a new route or simply clearing an overgrown section, every gesture counts.

While it only takes a few minutes to cycle a kilometer of trail, building and maintaining it can require hundreds of hours of work and tens of thousands of dollars. The reality of the terrain is demanding:

  • Climate change more frequent storms, accelerated erosion, fallen trees...
  • Labour shortage In the field, teams are often too small to cope with the task.

This is where volunteers play a crucial role. To maintain quality, safe networks worthy of the great outdoor centers, the chores make it possible to :

  • Cut down dead trees and regrowth
  • Clean up leaves and debris
  • Repair damaged sections
  • Ensuring the overall safety of users

Your presence makes all the difference!
