Montréal, Tuesday, June 25, 2024 - From June 29 to June 1er July, the Petite Aventure bicycle touring event, presented by Le Lait and organized by Vélo Québec, moves to Montérégie. Departing from Huntingdon, the route will take cyclists through Saint-Antoine-Abbé to Ormstown, where they will spend two nights.
The Petite Aventure is...
-A family cycling event where everything is included: from meals to overnight camping, not forgetting luggage transport and the possibility of tent rental;
-A hike accessible to all, with stages varying in length from 14 to 92 km per day;
-A management team of employees and volunteers at the service of participants;
-A lively village to end the day on the right foot, with activities for young and old!
The route
Short route: 48 km - Long route: 271 km
Day 1 - Huntingdon, Saint-Antoine-Abbé, Ormstown.
Day 2 - A day of loops starting from Ormstown. Route via Saint-Étienne-de-Beauharnois.
Day 3 - Ormstown, Sainte-Barbe, Huntingdon.
Cycling day by day
Not all cyclists ride the same Petite Aventure. Some will want it to be touristy, others contemplative or more family-oriented. Cyclists ride as they please, and can choose to do all the optional routes, stopping here and there to visit. Local residents are invited to greet them along the way, and show them the charm of their region, for an experience they won't soon forget!
Next appointment: 30e Grand Tour
With a slightly higher level of effort than the Petite Aventure, the Grand Tour is a veritable institution of bicycle touring in Quebec. It brings together an impressive peloton of a thousand cyclists, covering hundreds of kilometers at their own pace over 6 days.
