Montreal, January 11, 2022 - Jean-François Rheault, President and CEO of Vélo Québec, announces the appointment of Mélissa Guillemette as Editor-in-Chief of the magazine. Québec Science. She takes over from Marie Lambert-Chan, who has held this role since 2016.
With a bachelor's degree in journalism, with a specialization in political science, from the Université du Québec à Montréal, Mélissa Guillemette began her career as a freelance journalist before being hired at the newspaper Le Devoir, then to the magazine Jobboom. In 2015, she joined the team at Québec Science as a journalist and content editor. The quality of her work has been recognized by numerous honors, in Quebec, Canada and abroad. She was recently awarded the Prix Roberval, which recognizes the quality of scientific and technological works in the French-speaking world. In recent years, Ms. Guillemette has also appeared on radio and television, on programs such as The Age of Enlightenment (ICI Radio-Canada Première) and It's my business (AMI-télé).
