Montreal, Thursday, April 15, 2021 - Mountain biking has never been so popular. After resting all winter long, the trails are once again ready to be ridden. Now's the time to find the mountain bike of your dreams. In the April issue, Vélo Mag presents its second buyer's guide of the season, with a special focus on mountain bikes (available from Road bike buying guide in the previous issue currently on newsstands).

«Mountain bikes for every kind of riding» is what this new season is all about, even if it's against a backdrop of scarcity. Of course, bikes are hard to find - and we'll tell you why - but there are models to suit all levels of riding and terrain.

In this buying guide, we'll tell you all about the latest trends, and suggest bikes and accessories that have caught the eye of our editors. On the podium of trends for the 2021 season, the electric-assist bike climbs to the highest step, followed closely by the versatile trail, bikes for women cyclists and for young people.

To help you get to grips with this mountain biking season, we're bringing you an interview with none other than Joe Breeze, the man who built the first mountain bike. We also give you a few tips on how to get your kids hooked on studded tires.
