The Montreal Go Bike Festival invites media representatives to the start of the Tour de l’Île de Montréal, Sunday, August 29, starting at 8:15 a.m.

Montreal, Saturday, August 28, 2021 - This Sunday morning, August 29, media representatives are invited to the departure of the Tour de l’Île de Montréal which will take place at the Maison des cyclistes (1251, rue Rachel Est), located at the corner of rue Rachel and rue Brébeuf.

 8:15 to 8:45 - SPONTANEOUS INTERVIEWS

Jean-François Rheault, President and CEO of Vélo Québec and Mr. Émile Bilodeau, spokespersons for the Go vélo Montréal Festival, will be available for interviews. Media are also invited to circulate and conduct spontaneous interviews among cyclists waiting to leave as well as with the public figures in attendance, including the Mayor of Montréal, Mme. Valérie Plante, Minister of Tourism, Caroline Proulx and the Minister of Transport and Minister responsible for the Metropolis and the Montreal region, Ms. Chantal Rouleau.

The master of ceremonies will welcome the guests:

  • Mr. Jean-François Rheault, President and CEO, Vélo Québec;
  • Mr. Émile Bilodeau, singer-songwriter and Festival spokesperson;
  • Mr. Steven Guilbault, Member of Parliament for Laurier-Sainte-Marie and Minister of Canadian Heritage;
  • Ms. Valérie Plante, mayor of Montreal;
  • Ms. Caroline Proulx, Minister of Tourism;
  • Mrs. Chantal Rouleau, Minister for Transport and Minister responsible for the Metropolis and the Montreal Region.
