Biography

An up-and-coming screenwriter and director, Pablo's energy, curiosity and taste for adventure are making a name for himself. Since childhood, he has been passionate about storytelling and exploring cinema through stop-motion and live-action shorts, while immersing himself in the great masters of the seventh art. His extensive travels around the world and his training in the social sciences - history and anthropology at McGill University - nurture a singular creative vision, at the crossroads of the imaginary and the real. Co-founder of CanyonGem Productions, he has worked as a producer, cameraman and photographer on independent films, webcasts and promotional videos.

Conference topic

At a time when everyone wants to immortalize their sporting passions and share their images, professional video is often perceived as a complex art reserved for experts. Pablo aims to turn this perception on its head. In his talk, he demonstrates that with a small budget, little equipment and a lot of inspiration, it's possible to produce top-quality videos. Drawing on the concrete example of the 2025 Quebec Downhill Championships, he reveals the key stages in the creation of a mountain bike film, from conception to broadcast and marketing. His message is clear: audacity and creativity are the most powerful driving forces. And who knows, his audience may include a future professional videographer.
