From Whitehorse to Los Angeles by bike: 6,000 kilometers of unexpected encounters

Trained as a graphic designer, he ran a computer graphics business in Sainte-Agathe-des-Monts for 27 years, before selling it in January 2020. Driven by a desire to take to the open seas, he had been toying with the idea of cycling around the world. However, the pandemic upset his plans.

In 2021, when travel was limited in Canada, he chose Whitehorse, Yukon, as his starting point. From there, he cycled south, adjusting his itinerary according to rumours of an open border with the USA. His route took him as far as Vancouver Island, then, once the border reopened, on to Los Angeles.

Four months on the road, 6,000 kilometers covered, heavy rains, striking landscapes and, above all, numerous human encounters: a journey engraved in his memory that he would now like to share.
