Conference: The Silk Road Mountain Race
In the summer of 2024, Quebecer Marie-Pierre Savard took on one of the world's most feared ultracycling events: the Silk Road Mountain Race. Over 14 days, she pedaled almost 2,000 kilometers across Kyrgyzstan, crossing several passes at altitudes of over 4,000 meters.
In a captivating talk, she will recount the highs and lows of this extreme adventure: the physical and mental challenges, the strong emotions, the crucial equipment choices, and the unique experience that brought her so close to the finish line.
