Job descriptions

Transport team: drivers/drivers
Route supervision vehicles
(required: drivers with class 5 license)
- Leading and assisting course managers in their duties
- Varied help on the course as needed (putting up signs, setting up kiosks, sweeping gravel, etc.).
Support vehicles
(required: drivers with class 4B license and longshoremen)
- Offer support services to participants who are unable to complete the tour
- Install bikes on trailer or bike rack
- Keeping the abandonment register up to date
Dismantling signage
(required: drivers with class 5 license and longshoremen)
- Remove signs along the route after cyclists have passed through.
- Requirements: good physical condition

Lunch team (Petite Aventure and Grand Tour)
- Help with installation and dismantling
- Welcome participants to the site and direct them to services
- Manage the exit from the site and inform cyclists of route options
- Participate in the lunch operation: queue management, distribution, barter table management
- Participate as needed in general site maintenance and waste management (recycling, garbage garbage cans, composting).
Qualities and skills sought
- Be aged 18 or over (21 for driver positions or 25 for drivers requiring class 4B).
- Excellent customer service skills (ability to inform and listen, empathy, patience, discretion)
- Good interpersonal skills (positive attitude, good communication, team spirit)
- Self-reliance, resourcefulness, dynamism
- Enjoy working outdoors (rain or shine)
- Good physical condition to keep up with the pace of the chosen event
- Adaptability (tasks may vary)
- Be comfortable sleeping in a campsite (Petite Aventure and Grand Tour)
Skills specific to the transport team
- Driver's license (class 5 or 4B, depending on position). Some stevedoring positions do not require a license.
- A good sense of direction.
In exchange for your services as a volunteer, you get :
- Transportation and meals.
- Camping or indoor accommodation at Petite Aventure and Grand Tour. Tent rental is offered free of charge to volunteers for these events (sleeping bag and ground mattress not included).
- Prizes to be won and an invitation to the end-of-season happy hour to thank you for your involvement.
