Organizer of major events such as Grand Tour and Petite Aventure, Vélo Québec has been using the Festidouche - a mobile shower trailer - since 2004. Its use has helped to simplify the logistical planning of its event trips and, above all, to offer a level of comfort much appreciated by cyclists, who are happy to be able to take a good shower - with hot water - at the end of their day's cycling.

Renting a Festidouche
Vélo Québec has two Festidouche trailers. These are available for rental - with a turnkey service - between May and October.
Mobile showers for all types of events

Technical specifications
- Individual showers (20 or 24), including cubicle and changing room

Technical requirements for installation
The Festidouche trailer must be installed on level, stable, firm ground (asphalt or gravel). Installation of the gallery and stairs - parallel to the trailer - requires a clearance of 6 ft (1.8 m) deep and 7 ft (2 m) long. The shower access door is located on the right (passenger) side of the trailer.
Here are the technical requirements needed to ensure its smooth operation.
Power supply
Lighting inside the trailer requires 2 110-volt/15-amp circuits located less than 100 ft (30 m) and at most 150 ft (45 m) away.
Water supply
To ensure water supply, a hydrant must be located within 75 ft (23 m) and at most 150 ft (45 m). Beyond this distance, the water pressure will be insufficient to operate all the showers at the same time.
Water reducer hoses 1 ½ in. quick connection
Required inlet water pressure 55 lbs minimum to 70 lbs maximum.
Waste water disposal
A sanitary sewer connection must be located at a maximum distance of 100 ft (30 m) to provide for wastewater evacuation. The volume of wastewater is 10000 liters of water per day per trailer.
The front of the Festidouche trailer should be raised slightly to facilitate drainage.
