In the 2013 municipal elections, fewer than one in two Quebecers exercised their right to vote. Yet the municipal government is the one most directly connected to our daily concerns, with very real impacts on our living environment. This role of local government was even formalized by the Quebec government in 2016.

When it comes to cycling, there's no denying that almost everything is decided at municipal level. Are these issues close to your heart? Would you like to see the cycling network in your city expanded? Would you like to see more initiatives to encourage bicycle travel and leisure activities? We're counting on you to let the candidates running for office this fall know!

To do so, show your colors Let us know loud and clear that cycling commitments will count in your choice on November 5. And above all, contribute to the debate by proposing your best ideas in favor of cycling in your municipality on the I vote bike, Vélo Québec and its partners are giving you the chance to have your say. You have until mid-October to submit your proposals, collect votes and generate comments on these ideas. And why not share your ideas on social media to gather more support?

See you today on I vote bike and invites you to contribute to the discussion so that cycling takes its rightful place in the electoral stakes!
