JOB SUMMARY
  • Status: permanent
  • Start date: as soon as possible
  • Work schedule: full-time, 5 days/week (35h)

Under the supervision of the VP Marketing, Communications and Partnerships, the Project Manager plays a key role in promoting Vélo Québec Association programs, projects and services, and participates in related public and government affairs. As a communications strategist, this person develops and implements effective communications plans, coordinates multi-platform initiatives, and supports program teams in all their visibility, recruitment and communications efforts. Thanks to her in-depth knowledge of Vélo Québec's tools and services, she is an ambassador for the organization's mission and values.

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Communications strategy and management
    • Carry out analyses and draw up strategic communication plans adapted to different targets;
    • Identify the most appropriate communication tools and channels (web, e-mail, newsletters, flyers, etc.) to maximize the impact of initiatives;
    • Write coherent, engaging content adapted to the media used;
    • Plan and execute multiplatform advertising and promotional campaigns.
  • Project coordination
    • Supervise and coordinate projects in collaboration with internal resources (program managers, graphic designer) and/or external resources (agencies or suppliers);
    • Ensure that all activities and initiatives are carried out on time and on budget.
  • Digital management
    • Contribute to the management and optimization of digital platforms (website, social networks);
    • Update content on the website and ensure its attractiveness.
  • Innovation and continuous improvement
    • Monitor trends and initiatives in the field, and propose ideas to enrich communications and enhance the organization's actions.
THE PROFILE WE'D LIKE TO FIND
  • Essential qualifications
    • University degree in communications, marketing or related field;
    • Minimum 4 years' experience in marketing communications;
    • Excellent writing skills in French;
    • Strong analytical and project management skills.
  • Technical skills
    • Good command of social media and best practices in digital communications;
    • Experience with CMS (WordPress) and email tools;
    • Knowledge of MS Office suite.
  • Personal assets
    • Sense of initiative, creativity and innovative spirit;
    • Strong interest in cycling as a leisure activity or mode of transport;
    • Commitment to Vélo Québec's values and mission;
    • Interest in public affairs and government relations, influence strategy.
