We are looking for a Coordinator to manage the logistics of inventory and warehouse staff for Vélo Québec cycling events. The mandate is for a period of 18 weeks, from April 13 to August 14 (full-time, 35h/week, Monday to Friday).
*** The person must be available evenings and weekends during events.***
Salary offered: 24.57$/h to 25.49$/h depending on experience.
General responsibilities
- Manage a budget (material purchases, accounting follow-up);
- Update the warehouse inventory and prepare the list of items and descriptions;
- Coordinate the receipt and return of merchandise with suppliers and partners (sponsors, Ville de Montréal);
- Coordinate warehouse moves and set-up for the Go Vélo Montréal Festival and summer events;
- Train, coach, supervise and manage the work schedules of the stock assistant and agents in the performance of the following tasks:
- Preparation and boxing of materials for each event.
- Loading and unloading trucks according to schedule.
- Participate in timing operations for the Go Vélo Montréal Festival and summer events;
- Delegate to your assistant, according to an established summer schedule, the stock file for certain summer events;
- Check the condition of the tents that will be used for certain summer events; ;
- Maintain a clean and functional warehouse;
- Manage sponsor-related equipment;
- Help set up equipment at summer events;
- In collaboration with the customer experience coordinator, help find suppliers;
- Use collaborative work tools;
- Perform any other related tasks as requested by the immediate supervisor.
Requirements and skills
- College diploma in a relevant field;
- Experience in logistics, event organization, inventory or warehouse management;
- Experience in personnel management;
- Manual skills an asset;
- Don't be afraid of physical work and lifting;
- Available to work evenings, weekends and travel during events;
- Class 5 driver's license (required) and ability to drive different types of vehicles (cube truck, van); Class 4B driver's license an asset.
