THE ORGANIZATION AND ITS MISSION
Since 1967, Vélo Québec, a non-profit organization with a wide range of activities, has been a fixture on the Quebec cycling scene. Whether for leisure or tourism purposes, or as a clean, active means of transportation, Vélo Québec relentlessly promotes the use of bicycles to improve the environment, health and well-being of citizens.
Job summary
Under the supervision of the inventory coordinator, the event inventory agent helps prepare the material required for each Festival Go Vélo Montréal event (including the Tour de l'Île, the Tour la Nuit and the Défi métropolitain) and other events organized by Vélo Québec during the summer.
General responsibilities
- Help set up warehouses for the Go Vélo Montréal Festival and summer events;
- Prepare and box materials for each event;
- Load and unload equipment according to the timetable in place for each event;
- Repair broken or defective equipment;
- Receive and return materials from suppliers, sponsors and partners;
- Drive inventory transport vehicles when required;
- Perform any other related tasks as requested by the supervisor.
Requirements
- Work experience in a similar position;
- Don't be afraid of physical work and lifting (good physical condition);
- Enjoy teamwork;
- Be available to work evenings and weekends during events;
- Valid driver's license (class 5, class 4b an asset);
- Comfortable driving a cube truck is an asset.

Contract: We have full-time requirements for the weeks of May 18 and 25, June 22 and July 27. It is also possible to apply for on-call only (occasional hours).
