Montréal, Friday, May 30, 2025 - Media representatives are invited this Sunday to the start of the 40e Tour de l’Île de Montréal on Rosemont Boulevard, at the corner of 35e avenue.
Media will be able to park on Viau (before 9:15 a.m.) and microwave trucks on 35.e avenue.

Starting at 6 a.m. - Spontaneous interview opportunities on the start line
Jean-François Rheault, President and CEO of Vélo Québec, and Julie Ringuette, actress, host and spokesperson for the Festival Go vélo Montréal (from 8 a.m.), will be available for interviews. The media are also invited to circulate and do spontaneous interviews among the cyclists waiting to leave, as well as with the public personalities present (see list below).
A gondola will be available for media representatives from 8:30 am. At the start, only cameramen will have access to the gondolas. Photographers will be able to use them afterwards.
*Please note that the Discovery Course (68, 88 or 105 km) starts between 7 and 9 a.m. The regular 50 km route, the most spectacular, starts at 9:15 a.m.
7 a.m. to 9 a.m. - Start of the Discovery Trail (68, 88 or 105 km)
This route will offer a mixed itinerary (open and closed streets), including a passage through Repentigny, Terrebonne, L'Épiphanie, etc.

8:55 a.m. - Departure ceremony
The master of ceremonies will welcome the guests:
- Jean-François Rheault, President and CEO, Vélo Québec
- Michel Labrecque, former president and CEO of Vélo Québec and instigator of the first Tour de l'Île
- Valérie Plante, Mayor of Montréal
- Ana-Maria Martin, President of the Montérégie-Ouest milk producers
- Marie-Dominique Boucher, Acting Director of Destination Development and Programs at Tourisme Montréal
- Chantal Rouleau, Minister responsible for Social Solidarity and Community Action
- Julie Ringuette, spokesperson for the Go vélo Montréal Festival
9:15 am to 10:45 am - Start of the Regular course (50 km)
The route will take place entirely on closed streets, crossing Rosemont-La Petite-Patrie, Montréal-Est, Rivière-des-Prairies and more.
11:15 a.m. to 4 p.m. - Arrival of participants and entertainment at the finish site
5 p.m. - End of activities
