Montréal, Tuesday, June 17, 2025 - Québec Science magazine is proud to announce that it has won the gold medal in the prestigious «Best Magazine: News, Business, General Interest» category at the Canadian Magazine Awards ceremony, held on June 13, 2025 at Toronto's Arcadian Court.
The award recognizes the magazine's overall excellence, both in content and presentation. The jury praised Québec Science for its «quality journalism on the environmental and scientific issues that matter most to understanding our world», adding that the magazine is «beautifully designed» and «constantly surprises its readers with the richness of its content and the elegance of its style».
Journalist Raphaëlle Derome was also honored, receiving the silver medal in the «Best Feature Article» category for her report « Facing the elements ». «We're really proud of this recognition from the field,» said Marine Corniou, the magazine's editor-in-chief. «Science is at the heart of almost every issue of the day, whether in the fields of the environment, public health, AI, energy, resource management...
