Montréal, Friday, May 23, 2025 - Vélo Québec invites all cycling enthusiasts to take part in the 23e edition of the Défi métropolitain, to be held on Sunday, May 25, 2025 in Montérégie, and kick off the Go vélo Montréal Festival.
This year's event starts in Brossard, with routes of 57, 83, 105 and 156 km, to suit all types of cyclist. Participants will have the pleasure of cycling through the magnificent landscapes of Chambly, Sherrington, Saint-Mathieu and Candiac.
Departure is between 7 a.m. and 10 a.m. from Place Extasia in Quartier DIX30, in the presence of Brossard Mayor Doreen Assaad, who will join the celebrations to welcome the cyclists and highlight the dynamism of her host city. Returns are scheduled between 11 a.m. and 6 p.m.
The festive atmosphere will include live music, beer tastings from Siboire microbrewery, and several booths to visit, including those of Action Sport Physio and Eye-Am.
The event kicks off a week of unforgettable cycling activities as part of the Go vélo Montréal Festival, presented by Lait in collaboration with Desjardins, including Tour la Nuit (Friday, May 30) and Tour de l’Île de Montréal (Sunday, June 1).
