Montreal, Thursday, January 4, 2018 - For the 25th consecutive year, the magazine Québec Science unveils the most impressive Quebec discoveries of the past year. A jury of journalists and researchers selected this year's top 10 research discoveries from a record 124 works published in 2017. The list includes discoveries in fields as diverse as archaeology, medicine, genetics, ecology, psycho-education, mechanical engineering, evolutionary biology, neuroscience and microbiology.
«For a quarter of a century, this competition has enabled us to highlight the excellence of research carried out in Quebec. It's also a unique opportunity to explain and illustrate the beauty and complexity of the scientific process to the general public,» says Marie Lambert-Chan, editor-in-chief of Québec Science.
In collaboration with Canal Savoir, Québec Science invites the public to vote for «The Québec Science Discovery of the Year 2017 Audience Award» at www.quebecscience.qc.ca/decouverte2017 by February 14.
