Become a cyclotoute: an awareness campaign from Vélo Québec to encourage everyday cycling!

Montreal, September 2, 2020 - Every year, back-to-school is unique, but this one will be even more so. More than ever, cycling is THE way to get around, since it allows us to keep a safe distance from others, while keeping us active, healthy and independent. To adapt and take advantage of this new reality, Vélo Québec is today launching a digital awareness campaign entitled « Become a cyclistany »to encourage cycling on a daily basis.

This campaign, made possible thanks to financial assistance from the Quebec government under the Kino-Québec financial assistance program, offers workers and students aged between 16 and 35 the chance to become cyclocoffee, cyclojob, cyclocampus, cycloshopping, cycloaperitif, in short, cycloany!

Vélo Québec invites institutions and organizations to spread the word about the campaign on their own platforms, and to share the campaign's various activities. practical content to mobilize their community. The toolbox contains :

Six 30-second vignettes take a humorous look at the myths and realities of cycling as a means of transportation.

Various banners in static and GIF formats, depending on the customer base and platform used.

Four 1-minute vignettes presenting practical tips for greater autonomy, especially in the event of a mechanical problem.

Virtual conference and mechanical kiosk offered by Vélo Québec to encourage the use of bicycles as a means of transportation.

 

Over the next few weeks, join us in encouraging all Quebecers to opt for cycling as part of their daily commute and become... cyclo.any!
