Montréal, Thursday, May 23, 2019 - This Sunday, May 26, Sainte-Anne-des-Plaines will welcome participants in the 18th edition of the Metropolitan challenge. Organized by Vélo Québec, this challenge kicks off the Go vélo Montréal Festival, a unique festival in America with a full week of cycling events and activities, including Tour la Nuit (May 31) and Tour de l’Île de Montréal (June 2).
Time for the first major cyclosportive event of the season!
The Défi métropolitain is an untimed event in which each cyclist rides the distance of his or her choice, between 50, 75, 100, 125 or 150 km, with unrivalled support. This year, the Défi visits the north of the metropolitan region. Starting in Sainte-Anne-des-Plaines, the route will take in Mascouche, L'Épiphanie, Saint-Roch-de-l'Achigan and Saint-Lin-Laurentides.
