Montreal, Wednesday, May 23, 2018 - In an epic 18,000 km bicycle journey through 27 countries, Jonathan B. Roy has had countless adventures and misadventures. In his first book Bedtime stories - Cycling from England to Malaysia, meeting the good world, He recounts them with relish, a touch of humor and magnificent images. Through unlikely encounters, the author takes a positive, sensitive look at the world and «the good world».

Some are simple pleasures, which the author calls «fun 1»: an endless descent in the Slovenian Alps, kebabs cooked on vines in Georgia, a cozy bed in an ancestral French manor house. Other, more outlandish experiences are just as stimulating for this globetrotter, who even calls them «fun 2»: a fainting spell on the edge of a precipice in Tajikistan, death threats in Kyrgyzstan, a tough interrogation by police officers in Burma...

Curious and versatile, Jonathan B. Roy, who holds degrees in law and engineering, worked as a human resources manager, musician and bicycle mechanic, before setting off on his round-the-world bicycle trip in 2016. His journey earned him contributions to the daily newspaper La Presse and the magazine Vélo Mag, as well as recurring appearances on the Gravel le matin radio show. Originally from the village of L'Orignal, Ontario, he also contributes to his blog « The good world ».

Jonathan will continue his cycling journey on July 3. He will set off again from Kuala Lumpur, heading for Singapore, then Taiwan, China, South Korea and Japan, before crossing into South America. To follow his next adventures, visit the magazine's website Vélo Mag.
