Get the season off to a safe start and share the road!

While the number of four-season cyclists continues to grow, for many the month of May represents a return to the saddle. To get the season off on the right foot, cyclists are invited to consult the tips & tricks available on the Mois du Vélo web page.

Vélo Québec also takes this opportunity to remind cyclists that On the road, our safety is linked to that of others. The campaign, which was launched last autumn and will continue over the coming months, addresses the issue of sharing the road, and aims to raise cyclists' awareness of the behaviours to adopt and the rules to follow in order to ride safely.

«At Vélo Québec, safety is at the heart of our concerns, and we take action on all fronts to ensure that everyone can cycle with complete peace of mind. Alongside our efforts to obtain better cycling infrastructures, a Road Safety Code adapted to cycling and more harmonious cohabitation with heavy vehicles, we believe that cyclists, through their behavior, are also part of the solution,» emphasizes Suzanne Lareau, president and CEO of Vélo Québec.
