Media invited to the Tour la Nuit starting line, Friday, May 31, starting at 6 p.m. - The event and festival season kicks off at the same time!

Montreal, Thursday, May 30, 2019 - This Friday, May 31, media representatives are invited to the starting line of the Tour la Nuit, located on avenue du Parc, at the corner of avenue du Mont-Royal. The finish line is in Parc Jeanne-Mance. Visit Bringing together major international events (RÉMI) will use the kick-off of Tour la Nuit to officially launch the 2019 events and festivals season.

from 5 p.m. - Le BBQ du terroir and La Grande roue Le Lait

Local BBQ starting at 5 p.m. at the Recettes d'ici Terrace at the start site

The Le Lait Ferris wheel at the finish site

6 to 8 p.m. - Spontaneous interviews

Joëlle Sévigny, General Manager of Vélo Québec Événements et Voyages, and Émile Bilodeau (starting at 7 p.m.), singer-songwriter and spokesperson for the Festival Go vélo Montréal, will be available at the starting line for interviews. Media are also invited to circulate and conduct spontaneous interviews among the riders. cyclists waiting as well as with the public figures present, the Minister of Tourism, Ms. Caroline Proulx, and event and festival managers, members of RÉMI and Festival Événements Québec.

8pm - Departure ceremony and speeches

The master of ceremonies will speak on the podium at the start line:

  • M. Bruno Letendre, President, Les Producteurs de lait du Québec;
  • Ms. Suzanne Lareau, President and CEO, Vélo Québec;
  • M. Hadrien Parizeau, city councillor, Saint-Sulpice district, Ahuntsic-Cartierville borough and associate councillor on the executive committee for youth, sports and recreation;
  • M. Émile Bilodeau, singer-songwriter and spokesperson for the Go vélo Montréal Festival;
  • Ms. Louise Beaudoin, President of the Board of Directors of REMI, the Regroupement des événements majeurs internationaux;
  • Ms. Caroline Proulx, MNA for Berthier and Minister of Tourism, Government of Quebec.
8:15pm - Departure of Tour la Nuit

Gondolas will be available for media representatives from 7.15pm. At the start, only cameramen will have access to the gondolas. Photographers will have access afterwards. Microwave truck technicians should contact the sound technician at Tour la Nuit to avoid any interference in signal frequencies.
