Montréal, January 13, 2020 - Vélo Québec today announced the names of the 5 communities and 16 organizations recognized in the 8th round of the VELOSYMPATHIC movement. Since the start of the program, a total of 27 communities and 70 organizations have made cycling a real transportation and leisure option for all.
«Vélo Québec congratulates all the candidates in this eighth round, whose many actions are helping to create and consolidate a cycling culture in their communities. We would also like to take this opportunity to recognize the efforts of several communities and organizations that submitted a 2nd application in this round. These communities and organizations have all improved and strengthened their actions in favor of cycling, thereby earning the renewal of their certification, despite increasingly demanding criteria that are representative of current best practices.
