Garage 529 (Project 529) was launched in spring 2021 by the Service de police de la Ville de Montréal - SPVM. This easy, zero-cost registration system has reduced bike theft by nearly 40 % in some cities where it has been widely adopted!
How does it work?
- Register your bike, with its serial number and photos, on the website or mobile app.
- Purchase a sticker from one of our participating service outlets (optional).
- If your bike is stolen, report it to Garage 529 to alert the community.
- If your bike is found, you can easily be contacted.
- If you're about to buy a used bike, look up its number to make sure it hasn't been reported stolen.
