Taking care of your bike

A bike in good condition will save you from unpleasant surprises on the road.

Daily checks

Before getting on your bike, make sure :

Tires are properly inflated: rely on the maximum PSI indication on the tire to drive more efficiently and prevent premature tire wear.

That the brakes are efficient: they should respond quickly. If not, check the wear on the brake pads. It may be time to change them.

That the derailleur works well: gears are easy to shift and there's no rubbing noise when you pedal.

Annual tune-up

A tune-up costs between 30 $ and 150 $, depending on the condition of the bike and the adjustments to be made.
