Vélo Québec is a key player in the cycling world, with internationally recognized expertise. Founded in 1995, its travel agency is a leader in cycling vacations in America and around the world. We are proud to create and offer products in a specialized and unique sector that is growing in popularity. Our customers' satisfaction and happiness are our raison d'être. Many exciting projects are underway, including the implementation of new systems to improve our processes and customer experience, and the redesign of our website.
Job summary
The incumbent provides administrative support for the activities of the’travel agency, We are also involved in customer service, logistics and accounting, according to the deadlines and follow-ups required by our customers.
In a little more detail, what would the tasks look like?
- Carry out daily accounting operations and enter data into the accounting system;
- Issue payments to suppliers;
- Issue invoices and follow up on accounts receivable;
- Classify accounting documents and files;
- Act as administrative support to the customer service and logistics sector;
- Support travel programming and marketing activities; ;
- Answering customer calls or e-mails in support of advisors during active periods;
- Update traveler lists and ensure the dispatch of travel documents, booklets and wristbands for our events;
- Record customer information for internal and logistical follow-up;
- Communicate surveys to customers and consolidate results/comments;
- Perform any other related tasks as requested by the immediate supervisor.
Job skills and requirements
- Post-secondary education in accounting or equivalent; ;
- Experience in customer service is an asset;
- Excellent organizational skills;
- Rigorous work methods and attention to detail; ;
- Mastery of the Office suite ;
- Bilingualism an asset ;
- Knowledge of PC Voyages software (or other reservation management platform) is an asset;
- Knowledge of, or a keen interest in, bicycle touring would be an asset :).
NOMINATION AND OTHER DETAILS
- Start date: Early June 2026, flexible start date.
- Duration: minimum 8 weeks (can be extended by 2 or 3 weeks).
- Temporary position, full-time, 35h/week Monday to Friday.
- It is possible to carry out this mandate as part of an internship.
- This job is subsidized by the’Summer jobs Canada. This program provides funding to non-profit organizations and employers in the public and private sectors to create quality summer employment opportunities for young people between the ages of 15 to 30 years.
