Cyclists' House

The Cyclists' House is located a stone's throw from Parc La Fontaine, where two of Montreal's most important bicycle paths intersect. In addition to the Vélo Québec offices, there's a bike travel agency, a boutique and a café, where conferences are held.

The Maison des cyclistes project is being carried out with the support of the Ville de Montréal as part of the Convention de contribution en culture, sports et loisirs.

A unique bicycle junction

The Maison des cyclistes is a space for services, exchanges, information and troubleshooting for cyclists. In 2018, Vélo Québec completely refurbished the space to offer the cycling community an even warmer welcome.

In addition to a boutique stocking basic tools and accessories, books, guides and maps, the Maison des cyclistes offers free bicycle maps of Quebec. Outside the Maison des cyclistes, you'll find a repair station and a self-service bike pump.

Inspiring Vélo Mag conferences

Between October and May, the Maison des cyclistes offers you its Vélo Mag Conferences.

Inauguration of the Maison des cyclistes

The Maison des cyclistes was inaugurated on a beautiful summer's day, Saturday August 13, 1994, in the presence of Gérald Tremblay, Minister of Industry, Commerce, Science and Technology; Jean Doré, Mayor of Montreal; Rachel Martinez, President of the Board of Directors of Vélo Québec; and Michel Labrecque, President of Groupe Vélo Québec.

To celebrate the event, nearly 3,000 people gathered in Parc La Fontaine and Rue Brébeuf. Among the guests were the 1,000 participants in the first Grand Tour, whose final leg ended in front of the Maison des cyclistes; Vélo Québec employees and board members; representatives of the BDPR architectural firm; and family, friends and local residents.
