Positions on the Board of Directors of Vélo Québec Association

At the Annual General Meeting (AGM), two (2) director positions will be up for election. To enable the members of the meeting to make an informed choice, we would like to offer the possibility of announcing candidacies in advance, and are therefore proceeding with this call for candidacies.

N.B. In accordance with our by-laws, the official nomination must be made at the AGM and receive the support of two members present.

Profiles sought

To meet the organization's needs and complement the skills of current board members, we are looking for the following profiles:

  • Experience in philanthropy
  • Experience in government relations
  • Regional representation (outside Montréal)

Vélo Québec Association also seeks gender parity and diversity on its Board of Directors. Individuals representing cultural, sexual and gender diversity, socio-economic, ability, etc., or aged between 18 and 35 are invited to apply. The outgoing Board of Directors comprised 4 women and 4 men.

If you think you have other skills that would be beneficial to Vélo Québec Association, don't hesitate to apply.

Term of office and commitment

Terms of office are two (2) years. The Board meets 4 to 5 times a year, in the evening. Certain directors are also called upon to participate in the statutory committees of Vélo Québec Association, which meet 2 or 3 times a year.

In order to encourage representation from different regions of Quebec, directors may participate by videoconference.
