Montreal, Wednesday, September 6, 2017 - This Saturday, Sutton will welcome the cyclists of the Eastern Townships Challenge, A non-timed ride organized by Vélo Québec and presented by Mouvement Desjardins in collaboration with Formedica, Le Devoir, Tourisme Canton-de-l'Est and Les Producteurs de lait du Québec. The Défi des Cantons-de-l'Est begins (between 7 a.m. and 10 a.m.) and ends (between 11 a.m. and 6 p.m.) at Mont Sutton.
This end-of-season classic has it all. And this year's edition is no exception: starting at Mont Sutton, the route will extend as far as Glen Sutton to the south, Vale Perkins to the east, Warden to the north and Bromont to the west. Cyclists can stop off at the lunch stop in Brome Lake (Knowlton) between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m.
Each cyclist rides at his or her own pace for the distance of their choice: 50, 75, 100 or 150 km. At the end of their journey, participants are invited to meet at the Bistro. A relaxed atmosphere, music, highlights of the day and regional kiosks are all on the agenda.
