The Vélo Mag Eastern Townships Challenge offers several routes, ranging from 50 to 135 km, untimed on road or gravel, starting from Mont Orford (streets open to cars). A great opportunity to get together with other cyclists and push your limits!

The Vélo Mag Eastern Townships Challenge is back in 2025, promising an edition full of energy and discoveries! Whether you’re an experienced cyclist or a fan of leisurely rides, this event is the perfect opportunity to explore the beauty of the Eastern Townships region. You’ll have your choice of several routes suitable for all levels, allowing you to enjoy the enchanting landscapes and picturesque villages that characterize this unique region of Quebec.

Take part in an unforgettable day of fun and challenge on two wheels in the heart of the Eastern Townships.

Note: Please allow 5 business days for delivery from the date of mailing. For registrations made online after the last mailing date, documents can be picked up directly on site on the morning of the event at the Info booth at the starting line.

How the Vélo Mag Eastern Townships Challenge works

Schedules, services offered, routes on Ride with GPS… get ready by checking out the following information!

Program for the day
On the route

To ensure a smooth start and smooth cycling traffic along the route, you must choose a start time between 7 a.m. and 10 a.m. when you register. You can choose to take the road bike route or the gravel route, depending on your preference. On the day of the event, you start at your own pace. No racing, no timing!

At the start/finish site, you will have access to the following services: restrooms, refreshment stands, hand washing stations, first aid, a mechanical kiosk, and an INFO kiosk.

Rest areas

You will receive a wristband in the mail that will allow you to pick up your lunch at the location you chose when you registered, either at the lunch stop (brown wristband) or at the finish line (gray wristband).

Refreshment stops:

#1 Cross-country skiing and cycling parking lot (3 Chem. de Khartoum, Eastman, QC J0E 1P0)

#2 Montagnais Park (4933 QC-220, Orford, QC J1X 7M8)

Services available at the lunch stop between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m.: lunch, water, restrooms, first aid, mechanical assistance.

On the road

Depending on your energy level on the day, you can choose to ride whatever distance you want. The routes—available on Ride with GPS—will be sent to you a few days before the Challenge.

Services offered during the Challenge: marked route, professional support (mechanical and first aid), support vehicles.

A problem on the road? Support vehicles and cycling coaches—assigned to bike mechanics and first aid—will be traveling the route to help you. Can’t complete the Challenge? Support vehicles will take you to the finish line. Questions? Visit the information booth at the start/finish line.

Enjoy the après-vélo experience

Upon arrival, celebrations are in order! Enjoy the traditional milk and stop by the Bistro for a refreshing Siboire beer with your fellow travelers, all in a festive musical atmosphere provided by a DJ.
