Every five years since 1995, Vélo Québec has provided a detailed portrait of Québec cyclists. Everything from the economic, health and environmental benefits of cycling, to the environments in which it is practiced, is scrutinized and analyzed. From this vast undertaking emerge trends, correlations and findings - in short, a true portrait of cycling in Québec, enabling us to make informed decisions about the future of cycling.

Data from Cycling in Québec in 2025 come from a variety of backgrounds:
A province-wide survey on cycling in Quebec conducted by Léger in the fall of 2025 and analyzed by André Poirier, professor in the Research Techniques and Data Management program at Cégep de Rosemont.
Analyses of automatic count data carried out by Éco-Compteur using data kindly supplied by some fifty municipalities and organizations managing cycling networks across the province.
Analyses of data from Origin-Destination surveys in major Quebec centers, conducted by the Chaire de recherche Mobilité at Polytechnique Montréal
Data kindly provided by public bike systems (BIXI, àVélo and Accès Vélo), by the Agence de mobilité durable de Montréal, by the Division de l’Intelligence économique et de l’évaluation des programmes of the Service du développement économique de la Ville de Montréal, and by the Société des traversiers du Québec.
Open data from the Société de l'assurance automobile du Québec, a dozen Quebec municipalities via the Données Québec portal, and Statistics Canada.
