In short, how would you describe this role?
Le ou la conseiller·ère en voyages accompagne et conseille notre clientèle dans le choix de forfaits et de produits adaptés à ses besoins, afin de lui proposer et de lui vendre un voyage à vélo parmi les destinations offertes par l’agence. Il ou elle effectue la réservation du forfait et fournit les renseignements propres à chaque destination, propose et vend de l’assurance-voyages, services complémentaires et perçoit les paiements. Cette personne s’assure également d’offrir un service de qualité, selon les standards, les valeurs et les politiques de l’organisation et dans le cadre de la mission de Vélo Québec.
More concretely, what would the tasks look like?
- Conseiller les clients selon leurs besoins et assurer un service à la clientèle de qualité et ainsi contribuer, en collaboration avec les autres membres de l’équipe, à atteindre les objectifs de ventes et de revenus de l’agence;
- Communicate travel information according to the type of package chosen (flights, transfers, accommodations, rates, conditions, booking terms, itinerary, GPX data, etc.);
- Handle the agency's various promotions and targeted programs (e.g. referencing program);
- Contribute to Vélo Québec Voyages package marketing activities by participating in product data entry, pricing, promotions and validations of customer information content (sites, documents, traveler's guide, etc.);
- Contribute to the agency's sales activities (information evenings, trade shows, balance sheets, etc.);
- Monitor customer feedback on services and the results of surveys designed to improve the quality of our services;
- Agir comme agent.e de liaison du téléphone d’urgence pour les clients lorsque requis (rémunération complémentaire applicable le cas échéant);
- Participate in certain events and be present in the field when required;
- Support the team in other related tasks as requested by the immediate superior.
Job skills and requirements
- Training in tourism, travel consulting or travel-related fields (DEC in tourism or equivalent);
- Hold OPC travel consultant certification (or in the process of obtaining it);
- At least one year's experience in a travel agency or tour operator;
- Strong interest in sales and meeting targets;
- Strong communication skills: participative approach, people skills and listening skills;
- Ability to manage several files at the same time, organizational skills;
- Proactivity and initiative;
- Good general knowledge of destinations (in Quebec, Canada and internationally);
- Oral and written bilingualism (some of our customers are English-speaking);
- Mastery of the Office suite;
- Knowledge of bicycle touring or outdoor activities;
- Knowledge of GPX data an asset;
- Knowledge of Reslynx and PC Voyages software: an asset.

Working hours are Monday to Friday, 35 hours a week.
L’échelle salariale pour se poste se situe entre 24.58$/h et 26,08$/h selon l’expérience.
Entrée en poste: octobre 2026.
