Checklist for packing your luggage

To make the most of your Petite Aventure or your Grand Tour, Here's a checklist to help you prepare your luggage.

A reminder  We accept only one bag per person, with a maximum weight of 22 kg for the Sous les étoiles package and 15 kg for the Sous la Couette package. To protect your belongings from the rain, place them in plastic bags before packing them in your luggage bag.

Camping equipment

(Under the stars participants only)

  • Tent (except those who have rented a tent)
  • Sleeping bag and pillow
  • Floor mattresses
  • Flashlight
  • Clothes pins

Bicycle equipment

  • Bike in excellent condition
  • Bicycle carrying bag (handlebar bag or bag for attaching to the bike)
  • rear luggage rack). Avoid backpacks.
  • Padlock
  • Water cans
  • Mechanical mini-kit (pump, inner tubes and puncture repair equipment, tire wrenches, small adjustable wrench, Allen wrenches, two spokes)
  • Bike helmet

 

Bike and city clothes

  • Bib shorts, shorts, shorts
  • Cycling jerseys, t-shirts, shirts
  • Warm clothing: fleece, wool socks, windbreakers and pants
  • Rainwear: jacket and pants (overshoes optional)
  • Stockings and underwear
  • Two pairs of comfortable shoes (if you don't use cycling shoes, choose shoes with the stiffest sole possible)
  • Cap or hat
  • Bathing suit and helmet
  • Beach sandals (appreciated at shower time)

Miscellaneous equipment

  • Toiletry bag and towel
  • COVID-19 kit: hydroalcoholic solution, disinfectant wipes, protective mask or face shield, gloves
  • Laundry soap
  • Camera
  • Sunscreen, lip balm and sunglasses
  • First-aid kit and personal medication

Optional : Handlebar map holder, bike gloves, elastic straps (if you have a rear rack), mudguards (appreciated in case of rain), rearview mirror, odometer

A veritable institution of bicycle touring in Quebec - it brings together 1,500 cyclists who cover some 600 km in 7 days at their own pace.
