Last June, in just 3 months, we organized a charity cycling challenge !!!!

This project consisted in collecting donations to support the Mission Old Brewery association, which works with homeless people in Montreal.

The challenge was to cycle from Montreal to New York in 4 and a half days. We covered a distance of around 775 km from June 3 to June 8, 2023.

This sporting challenge was not only a personal test, it was also an opportunity to raise awareness of the problems faced by homeless people and to collect donations to help them.

We learned a lot about ourselves, our physical and mental capacities, but also our relationships, as we had to look for partners and meet many brands and players in the Quebec cycling scene.

In our conference on October 16, 2023, we'll tell you how this human experience unfolded, both in terms of organization and logistics, as well as our donation drive!

Procedure and registration

Presentation at 7 p.m. followed by a question period.

Once you have registered, you will receive an e-mail with instructions and a link to the videoconference.

La Maison des cyclistes: a unique cycling hub

The Maison des cyclistes is located a stone's throw from Parc La Fontaine, where two of Montreal's most important bicycle paths intersect. In addition to Vélo Québec's offices, it features a bicycle travel agency, a boutique and a café, where Vélo Mag conferences are held.

The Maison des cyclistes is a space for services, exchanges, information and troubleshooting for cyclists, and is a project financed under the Agreement on the cultural development of Montreal between the Ville de Montréal and the Government of Quebec.

With you, Vélo Québec goes further!

By becoming a member or making a donation, you contribute to our mission of developing and promoting cycling, and add your voice to ours in advancing the cause of cycling in Quebec.
