This guide proposes best practices for standardized signage to help users find their way around and better manage risks on mountain bike and fatbike trails.

Appropriate signage is essential to ensure good risk management and a pleasant visit to trail networks for all cyclists.

This edition is produced by Vélo Québec, as part of the national network, with the collaboration of members of the Quebec mountain bike community.

Download all traffic signs for free:

  • Identification signs: Identify the trails and other features that are part of the network.
  • Prescription signs: Rules and restrictions on the trail network.
  • Emergency signs: Contact information and location within the network in case of an emergency.
  • Works signs: Report maintenance work and trail improvements.
  • Danger signs: Report any imminent issues that are significant or could pose a risk on the trails.
  • Education panels: Help network users make informed decisions about their activities.
